CHARTING THE NEXT FRONTIER OF CLOUD

A marketplace-style partner event that made Microsoft's cloud proposition feel like an adventure. And delivered the highest NPS of any previous partner event.

Cloud Frontier was a one-day partner event at Ministry of Sound designed to turn Microsoft's cloud proposition into an immersive, gamified experience. For an audience of 50% existing partners and 50% new prospects. It delivered the highest NPS of any previous Microsoft event. We built a guided journey through six interactive outposts, silent keynotes, a gamified star map, and an immersive opening ceremony. All wrapped in a distinct space-frontier creative platform that kept Microsoft branding prominent throughout.

Microsoft needed more than a presentation. They needed a partner event that could cut through a crowded calendar, demonstrate deep cloud expertise, and convert passive attendees into active advocates. The brief was to engage a mixed audience of existing partners and fresh prospects, deliver dense technical content without losing the room, and turn a single day into meaningful pipeline.

We built a marketplace-style event at Ministry of Sound where every square metre was gamified. A distinct space-frontier creative platform gave partners a guided journey through six interactive outposts, silent keynotes and a live-stage opening. Blending deep expertise with immersive, shareable moments.

The Immersive Opening

A cinematic opening ceremony set the state of play for the day, with large-format screens, in-house AV and a space-frontier narrative that gave the event a clear creative through-line. Delegates were filming and discussing it well after the curtain lifted. The perfect energy injection before the keynotes began.

Silent Keynotes

We ran shorter-format silent keynote sessions across multiple tracks, delivered through wireless headsets with five-minute changeovers between speakers. The format kept guests focused, allowed for parallel programming, and generated over 67 hours of combined watch time across the day.

The Outpost Marketplace

Six branded outposts (Microsoft, Azure, TCoE, Sales Enablement, Marketing and Thrive) ran interactive conversations and quiz-based gamification. Delegates collected stamps on a physical Cloud Frontier Star Map, unlocking prize draws and incentives. The format created natural networking touchpoints while quietly capturing engagement data at every station.

The Results

THE IMPACT

Cloud Frontier delivered a 91% Net Promoter Score (the highest across any previous Westcoast Cloud partner event) and a 77% engagement rate across the outposts (351 scans from a possible 456). Keynote programming generated 67.5 combined hours of watch time, 103 qualified leads were captured across the day, and 81.6% of delegates actively participated in the gamification, with an average quiz score of 92%. 71% of post-event respondents rated the experience Excellent, and 100% of respondents said they were Much More Likely or More Likely to work with the client in the next 6-12 months.
